Long time no blog. Sorry about that. As busy as the end of summer was, the first few months of the schoolyear have been even busier. Toward the end of 2016, I noticed many people on social media saying what a bad year 2016 was. I don’t know if I would say 2016 was better than 2015. I don’t know if I would say 2016 was worse than 2015. I don’t know how, as a stay at home dad, I would measure years against each other. Our seventh grader became an eighth grader. Our kindergartner became a first grader. Our first year preschooler became a second year preschooler. My wife got a raise. I got a raise at my first part time job and got a second part time job. I don’t say these things to brag – we did what was expected of us and moved up in the world. I say this sincerely – if you had a bad 2016, I hope you have a good 2017; if you had a good 2016, I hope you have a better 2017.
